As our not-so-wintry winter quarter draws to a close, I am struck by how much good work our STRIDE team does on a daily basis.
Inaugural STRIDE Seed Funding Initiative Projects Announced

STRIDE recently announced the first recipients of its Seed Funding Initiative, which is designed to increase collaboration in the area of obesity prevention and provide additional funding for faculty research.
Assessment Team Evaluates Student Health
Nearly 200 Cal Poly students received health assessments from members of STRIDE’s Assessment Team (A-Team) this quarter.
Vegetable of the Month Expands Children’s Palates
Health Ambassadors have taken on the challenge of making new foods fun with their Vegetable of the Month program at Pacheco Elementary School.

Lunches Foster Community and Collaboration
Every other Friday, STRIDE team members gather around the conference room table to share a meal. The team invites faculty from across campus, student employees and community members to get together to discuss their work and interests, as well as avenues for future collaboration.
