Jacqueline Chen

First year nutrition graduate student from San Diego, Calif.

Jacqueline Chen

Role at STRIDE: Jacqueline will collaborate with STRIDE on her thesis project.

“I first learned about STRIDE from my graduate advisor and STRIDE director, Aydin Nazmi, when I was applying to Cal Poly. I really liked what the program stands for and knew that it was something I wanted to be involved in since I’m studying nutrition. I’m passionate about working with kids and nutrition in the community, so STRIDE is the perfect fit.”

Favorite meal: "I love all types of food, but my favorite foods are chocolate cake and cinnamon ice cream — even though they're not really meals."

Second year nutrition major, psychology minor, from Benicia, Calif.

Role at STRIDE: Erin leads the implementation of Pink and Dude Chefs in Shandon.

“I was inspired by Dr. Nazmi freshman year and knew that I eventually wanted to be a part of STRIDE. I participated in Health Ambassadors, which gave me the opportunity to be a part of the STRIDE team this quarter.”

Role at STRIDE: Hannah is the newest addition to STRIDE’s PR & Media team; she designs fliers, handouts and more and also helps coordinate STRIDE’s website and social media.
