Research Interests


My research is focused on the preconception, prenatal, and postpartum prevention of cardiometabolic disease, multilevel lifestyle interventions embedded in healthcare systems, pragmatic and community-engaged clinical trials, translation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions.

Current Projects


 

Food-is-medicine and lifestyle approaches to prevent type 2 diabetes after gestational diabetes are being evaluated in a PCORI-funded trial among families receiving home visiting services. (NCT06988306) 

Integration of heart health intervention into home visitation programs to reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors in US families is being evaluated in an NIH-funded trial. (NCT06272045) 

A weight maintenance intervention to promote fat mass loss during pregnancy among women with obesity is being evaluated in an NIH-funded trial (NCT04731688). 

Preconception health initiatives focus on the early prevention of obesity and metabolic disease. 

International collaborations advance maternal cardiometabolic health and scalable implementation strategies.
