What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to hike and cook.
What is your favorite food?
Yellow Thai curry.
Maritsa Enriquez, food, science and nutrition undergraduate, research assistant
What do you do at STRIDE?
I assist in research related to STRIDE’s Following the Longitudinal Aspects of Student Health (FLASH) study. This was a three-year study conducted from 2009-12 that surveyed Cal Poly students on a wide range of health characteristics. Currently, I am working on a systematic literature review looking at demographics on biomarkers. Also, I am organizing some of the FLASH data related to biomarkers. The overall goal of conducting and analyzing a study like this is to find trends in health behaviors, implement an intervention, and potentially reverse negative health outcomes.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to do yoga, cook and hang out with friends.
What is your favorite food?
I'm a huge foodie in general, but my favorite would have to be any sort of exotic fruit.
