STRIDE Health Ambassadors partnered with the SLO Botanical Gardens to host a Garden Fresh Cooking class. The class began with a lesson on planting and harvesting seasonal produce and herbs. Next, participating students put together a fresh feast, incorporating produce from the garden. This program was recognized as a success story in Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Museums & Gardens newsletter. Let’s Move! is a national initiative to end childhood obesity.
