Get Study Information

Once you have gestational diabetes, chances are you may get it again in your next pregnancy... BUT, there may be a way to prevent this! 

The Gestational Diabetes Prevention Study is an exciting new program studying whether weight loss can help prevent gestational diabetes in your next pregnancy.


You may qualify for this exciting program at no cost if you are:

  • Age 18 or older
  • Had Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) in a previous pregnancy

Every who participates in the study will receive at no cost:

  • Education on healthy weight loss, eating, and exercise in preparation for a healthy pregnancy.
  • Follow-up meetings before and during pregnancy to assess changes in your weight, eating, activity, and health.
  • Payment for completion of study.
