Health Ambassadors/Mobile Health Unit

Health Ambassadors at a cooking class

The Health Ambassadors class (HLTH 290-01) is certified as a Service Learning Class through Student Life and Leadership at Cal Poly.  Students enrolled in HLTH 281-001 will be instrumental in offering comprehensive, holistic healthcare services on the Cal Poly Women and Infants Mobile Health Unit. In class, you will gain knowledge about community health, migrant health, cultural and linguistic concerns, clinical research, and professionalism in healthcare – and then adapt theory into practice via experiential learning on the Mobile Health Unit later in the quarter.
